Night Rating
Learn how to safely act as pilot-in-command under visual flying rules (VFR) at night.

The course breakdown:
Night Rating courses run between November and January.
Pre-entry requirements
To start the Night Rating course you must:
- hold a valid medical certificate;
- be working towards or hold a LAPL(A); and:
- have completed exercise 19 - basic instrument flight.
- be working towards or hold a PPL(A).
Course content
Validity period
The Night Rating does not expire.
However, you must have completed one take-off and landing at night, in the last 90 days, to carry passengers.
