Pre-entry requirements

To start the Multi-Engine Piston (Land) Rating course you must:

  • hold a valid PPL(A) / CPL(A);
  • hold a valid UK issued FROTL;
  • have completed at least 70 hours of flight as pilot-in-command on aeroplanes.

Validity period

The MEP (Land) Rating is valid for 12 months.

It can be revalidated with an examiner within the 3 months immediately preceding the expiry date of the rating.

We offer in-house examiners should you need to renew or revalidate your MEP (Land) Rating.
