Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplanes)
Permits the holder to act as a pilot-in-command of an aircraft and be paid for their service.

Pre-entry requirements
To start the Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplanes) course you must:
- hold a licence issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1, to include a relevant class or type rating valid for the type or class of aircraft to be flown on the Skill Test;
- have passed the written examinations for:
- ATPL; or
- CPL(A);
- be at least 18 years of age;
- have completed 5 hours night flight time;
- have completed 200 hours total flying time prior to Skill Test (100 of which must be P1);
- have completed 20 hours cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command, which must include:
- a qualifying 540km (300nn) cross-country flight.
- hold a valid UK issued Class One Medical Certificate.
