Differences trainingInformal training on flying different variants of aircraft. Move from a Cessna 150/152 to a PA28 Warrior or PA28 Arrow.
What is Differences training?
Differences training gives you the authorisation to act as an pilot-in-command on a different variant of an aeroplane of the same type or class that you can already fly. For example, if you do your initial training in a Cessna 150 or Cessna 152, you'll need Differences training to fly a PA28 Warrior or PA28 Arrow. The Grumman GA-7 Cougar would not count in this case, as it's a Multi-Engine Piston (Land) aircraft, not Single-Engine Piston (Land) - you would need to hold a Multi-Engine Piston (Land) Rating. Differences training is informal and is endorsed in your personal logbook.
